HELGA LILLIAN MCMAHON February 12, 1929 - August 01, 2017 Helga Lillian McMahon passed away peacefully following a short illness on Monday, August 1, 2017 in Kenora, Ontario at the age of 88 years. She was born on February 12, 1929 in Laclu to Selma and Frank Hendrickson. Helga was predeceased by her loving husband Patrick McMahon on December 7, 1981, her parents, Selma and Frank, brothers, Henry, Willie, Albert, Robert, Arne, Walter, Victor and Billie, sisters, Helvi Drew, Jenny Hager, Esther Whistle, Violet Potter and Mildred Leroux, and niece Lillian Bays. Helga is survived by her niece Cyndy (Ron) Laliberte of Keewatin, Ontario, niece Holly (Henry) Orzepowski of Brantford, Ontario, niece Lisa (Gabe) Camara of Hamilton, Ontario, niece Marie Gionet of Prince George, BC, niece Helen (Jim) Brow of Fort Frances and niece Laila (Lyle) Degerness of Ignace, Ontario. Helga was the last surviving member of the Hendrickson family. We will remember her stories about growing up on the farm and the recipes she loved to cook (her favourite being curry-the spicier the better.)
