I was a co-volunteer with Terry with the Alzheimer's Society Minds In Motion Program this past spring. During the few times that we were together, I could tell he was special - special in the way he could communicate with some individuals that were hard to reach, special as he was willing to take on any role, special in that once we knew he was so ill, he still had a smile for everyone. So very sorry for the family's loss. - Posted by: Mickey Wener (Alzheimer Society co-volunteer) on: Aug 14, 2017

Terry was one of the many regulars I had the pleasure serving at Red River College. His passion for teaching showed in how he spoke about his students and the care he took in planning lessons. I will cherish the conversations I had with him about teaching, life, and family. - Posted by: Fatima DeMelo (Red River College Library) on: Aug 11, 2017

To Nick (+ Family).... Our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to you during this difficult time. Terry's warm smile, selfless personality, and his deep love for his family will remain in our hearts and minds for eternity. We fondly remember meeting Terry with his infant son at the neighbourhood park many years ago. A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. Terry was a father, husband, friend, teacher, mentor, and someone that we admired very greatly. God Bless You Terry, You Will Never Be Forgotten. He was an amazing teacher and friend. While I was in college, and in his class, he even attended my wedding with his family. Terry was always such a pleasure to see and talk to. He was a dedicated instructor in the Recreation Facilitator program at RRC and always had such glowing reviews from his students. I had an opportunity to attend one the information sessions on his program. The excitement and passion he exuded was very contagious. I actually came out and said, "Wow! He makes me want to quit my job and take that program!" To touch the life of a student is to live on for eternity. Rest easy Terry, you will be missed terribly. Condolences to his family during this heartbreaking time. ~Melissa - Posted by: Melissa Fontaine (Co-worker) on: Aug 09, 2017

To my cherished Teacher from Red River College. Terry you are a representative of life and as I think of you I hear you singing in Ukrainian. I remember you singing Metro with me and my Ukrainian partner at the last and only Christmas party I had with you. I remember you saying something in Ukrainian to me; as you got on the elevator. I am sad to say goodbye but happy to say I had someone who believed in what I could be! Thank you from the bottom of my heart -Dybosia - Posted by: Sylvia Defehr (Teacher ) on: Aug 09, 2017
