IRVIN COLLINS June 2, 1924 - May 26, 2017 Irvin passed away peacefully at George Derby Care Home in Burnaby, British Columbia at the age of 92. Irvin was predeceased by his wife Florence, and brother Bruce. He is survived by his son Allan (Terry), daughter Kathryn, and grandchildren Lindsey and Erin. After serving in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War, Irvin worked at a number of different jobs during his lifetime, most notably Eaton's, Canadian Aviation Electronics, and finally Canadian National Railway from which he retired in 1989. After retirement he spent many years volunteering at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Anyone who knew Irvin was aware of his fun-loving sense of humour, tireless devotion to helping others, and dedication to family. Irvin was one of a kind and will truly be missed.
