Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELEANOR DOROTHY DASHEVSKY It is with a heavy heart that our beloved mother and grandmother, Eleanor Dashevsky passed away peacefully at the Simkin Center on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Eleanor is the loving mother of Rhonda Dashevsky of Vancouver, BC and Stanley Dashevsky of Calgary, AB, grandmother of Marcus Dashevsky of Vancouver, BC and Ivy Dashevsky of Calgary, AB, and mother-in-law of Carrie Scherzer of Calgary, AB. She is survived by her sister Mindle Levitt of Toronto, ON and many nieces and nephews and brother and sisters-in-law. Eleanor was predeceased by her beloved husband Maurice in 1994. She was also predeceased by her brother Morton Rosen and her sister, Lillian Groberman. Eleanor was born in Winnipeg to parents, Clara and Dave Rosen. She met and married Maurice in Winnipeg in 1961. Eleanor was an energetic golfer, bowler, Mahjong player, needlepointer, knitter and baker. She was an active member of the Jewish community in Winnipeg. Eleanor had many close friends, some lifelong. She will be missed by her family and friends who knew and loved her. Funeral services were held at Rosh Pina Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Special thanks go to the kind and caring friendly caregivers.
