BARBARA RESENDIZ (nee FAWCETT) 1947 - 2017 Barbara passed away on August 8, 2017 at St. Boniface Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Alberto Resendiz and her parents, William (Bill) and Margaret Fawcett. After her marriage, she resided in Mexico for some time, where she became fluent in Spanish and developed an appreciation of that country's food and culture. Everyone loved her homemade tacos, and until ill health forced her to stop, she entertained her friends at her home on Christmas Eve, complete with a pinata and Mexican food. She especially enjoyed meeting and conversing with new people and she loved animals of all kinds, especially dogs and birds. One of her dreams came true when she was able to take an Alaska cruise a few years ago. At her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. Thanks is extended to St. Boniface Hospital for their care. If anyone wishes, donations can be made to the Parrot Club of Manitoba or to Norway House Animal Rescue as these agencies took in her remaining birds and dog. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
