DOROTHEA M. LARGE (DOUGLAS) After a brief illness, Dorothea passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital, on August 16, 2017. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Mark and his wife, Marlene, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents and siblings. Dorothea was born, the youngest of nine children, on December 22, 1932, in Hilton, MB, to Maria and Patrick Douglas. She had travelled through much of Europe in her younger years and loved to reminisce about her time spent there. She enjoyed many things especially visiting with family, friends and playing with the family pets. In her later years she loved going on outings and time spent with the O'Neill family, as well as their children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothea's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family expresses sincere gratitude to the staff of 6E at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care during her final days. A graveside farewell will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
