Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET JANE WAIT (nee HAYWOOD) August 21, 1935 - August 25, 2017 Peacefully, on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Riverview Health Centre, Margaret Jane Wait passed away peacefully with her family by her side. Her husband Charles Wait, son Derrick, parents, Joseph and Mary Haywood, brother William Haywood, and son-in-law Bryan Queau predeceased Margaret. She leaves to mourn her three daughters, Caren Queau, Cheryl Wait (Gene) and Cindy Wait (Martha); grandchildren, Karen, Jason, Michelle, Kevin, Robert, Randy and Ryan; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild Danika. Margaret and Charles were married for 43 years and raised their family in the Fort Rouge area of Winnipeg. Margaret was known for showing love through her cooking and one could never leave the Wait home feeling hungry. Some family favourites include perogies, cabbage rolls, fancy sandwiches at special gatherings, and pineapple cheesecake, just to name a few. After the children were grown, Margaret shared her love of cooking with others in the community by working at the Fort Rouge Curling Club, where she made many lifelong friends. Upon retirement, Charles and Margaret spent many winters vacationing in Arizona. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Sharky for his longtime care of Margaret, the staff at Victoria Hospital and Riverview Health Centre. Cremation and a private family service have taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Arthritis Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, or to a charity of one's choice. Caren, Cheryl and Cindy, So sorry for the loss of your Mother. Those were good years on Beresford Ave. and LRCC. Your parents were amazing people who were very kind to us when we lived on Nassau Ave. Good memories. I was very saddened to learn of Marg's passing. She was such a wonderful lady, and I have so many great memories of her and Chuck. They were such a big part of my growing up and hanging around Lord Roberts CC. My heart goes out to the family. - Posted by: Bob MacDonald (friend) on: Sep 02, 2017
