ANNE LEE 1924 - 2017 On Wednesday, August 9, 2017, after suffering a massive stroke on July 15, after a courageous battle, surrounded by her children and then in her final hours comforted by her son John, Anne found eternal peace with her heavenly father. Anne was predeceased by her parents, John and Dora Grona, brothers, Ernie, Nick and John, sisters, Dora, Judy and Mary, brothers-in-law, Norman, Jack, John, Walter and Gerry, and sisters-in-law, Margaret and Valerie. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband John, daughter Kira Harlow (Al), son John Lee (Charity), grandchildren, Justin and Sydney, brothers, Metro (May), Bill (Jay) and Victor (Judy), sister Ethel, sisters-in-law, Alice and Trudy, and many nieces and nephews. The family wish to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital - Fifth Floor, the Riverview Stroke Rehab Unit (after suffering a stroke on January 21, 2017), home care coordinators, Jonie Tramer, Roslyn Greenberg and especially in these last months the staff at the Waverley. Special thanks to Dr. C. Raimondi, cousin Judy Gould, and friends, Rosemarie and Phil Tan who were of special comfort to her in her final months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment to follow. Kira & John, I have just learned of your Mum’s passing, so often I have thought of dear Ann, and now I know why! Oh she loved the Lord, and is with her Saviour!
