Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUDITH MARIE (GABRIEL) MCMULLAN It is with sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Judith Marie (Gabriel) McMullan. She passed peacefully, with her daughters at her side. Her life journey began in Brantford, Ontario on June 20, 1940 and came to an end in Winnipeg on August 25, 2017. She was the first of six children born to William and Vera Gabriel. After Judith (Jude) they had Gloria, Thomas, Lenore, Jack and Jim. In 1960 Jude married Geoff McMullan and soon after the children began - Sharon (Darryl) Baron, William McMullan, Maryanne (Patrick) Clark, Gerald McMullan and Michelle McMullan (Debbie Ens). Her life was spent raising the children, coaching boys through the five pin Bowling Association and coaching girls ringette at Melrose Community Club. Mom also spent many years curling at Rossmere where she knitted her team matching sweaters, then onto a couple more rinks. As the children grew she entered into the workforce and was an account manager at ID Fashion and then Nygard. There was a time as a foster mother and then she found a passion working in a group home for disabled adults. She was predeceased by her mother Vera, father William, sister Gloria, and her son Gerald. You can thank him for her Eeyore tattoo. She had long term friends in her life. In no particular order are Wyllea Mikliechuk, Sharon McNichol, Sherry Bauldic and her son Jordan, Lorraine Spill and Donna Hunter. Jude also kept a special place in heart for Jen Grahame and Carole Sundborg. Jude was blessed with many grandchildren: Chelsea (Eoin) Rouine, Jasmine (Joel) Defoe and Melissa Baron (James Glasier), Sean and Randy Clark and Rileigh and Laighton Grahame-McMullan. There are also her great-grandchildren: Devan and Lena Rouine and Penelope Defoe. Jude had many great moments in her life. She enjoyed cards, knitting and being with her friends at Fred Douglas Place. Those who knew her are thankful for those times. Special thank you to her sister-in-law Sylvia Gabriel and brother Tom for the countless hours with Mom - whether it be Sylvia's great cooking, the two of them going to get their nails done, or just the three of them relaxing at their home watching their Forensic TV shows together. There will a Celebration of Life on September 24 at Lord Roberts Community Club located at 725 Kylemore Avenue from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. I met Jude around 1980 along with Lorraine and Ursula [my three musketeers]. We shared many hours together, through laughter and tears. We spent many a BBQ on her deck on Arnold St. Can't believe when I visit Winnipeg again that she will not be there. She will always be with me in spirit, will miss her so much. Prayers and hugs to all her family. - Posted by: Kathie Gaudes (Friend) on: Sep 09, 2017

Just sending my thoughts and prayers to you, your family and your siblings. I know how hard it is to loose a parent ... She is still by your side, you know that. Watch for your dimes 💖 Love your friend Brenda - Posted by: Brenda Meyer (Good friend of Maryanne ) on: Sep 09, 2017

My friendship with Jude goes back over 40 years. Her home on Greene Ave. was my second home while we were both single parents. When I re-married and she moved to Arnold St. we did not see each other very often but communicated regularly to keep each other up to date on each other's life. I have lost a very dear friend. My condolences to her family and friends as she will be greatly missed. Never put off seeing the people you love about as you never know when it may be too late. - Posted by: Wendy Barnes (Longtime friend) on: Sep 09, 2017
