Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • Adam White was my first exposure to the infantry. He was my Sect Comd on DP1 and my Sect Comd in 4 Pl, B Coy, 2 PPCLI when I first got posted in to the unit. It’s safe to say that this man had a huge influence on my initiation into the military world and all of it’s rough, challenging, and scary lessons it has to offer. Adam White was old school; he taught us to be strict with ourselves, and to push our own limits even when no one else would. His “rough around the edge,” leadership style taught us to own up to our mistakes, learn from them, and press on. He kept me focused during Battle School even after I sustained injuries that guaranteed me a ticket home if I really wanted. He helped me push through the pain and stay focused on course. Adam White ruled with an iron fist, but his tough lessons kept us alive on our first tour to Afghanistan. I owe my career, and to an extant - my life to this man and his family. He had a deep love for adrenaline pact adventures too; one could see him speed by on his motorcycle everyday on his way in to work. His love of skydiving played a part in motivating me to become a parachutist and pathfinder long after his untimely demise. I think I turned out to be a pretty decent soldier, and I like to think that Sgt Adam Kevin White had a huge part in that. He was my boss, my fire team partner, my motivator, and my friend. Rest easy now, brother. You did well, you always did right by us, and you will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Kev Pankiw (2 PPCLI & Friend) on: Jan 14, 2020
