DOROTHY ELEANOR MAY BROWNE It is with sadness we announce the passing of our mom, Dorothy on Friday, October 6, 2017, with family by her side at St. Boniface Hospital. Left to lovingly remember Dorothy are her daughters, Debbie (Bob) and Cathy (Ron); grandchildren, Rob, Tricia, Mark, Scott; great -grandchildren, Jada, Olivia, Callum and Morgan; sister Eve and brother John. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie and parents, Mildred and Percy. Dorothy was born in Winnipeg and worked at Moore's Business Forms where she met Ernie. Later in life, she decided to go back to work at Eaton's. Mom loved to dance, so they joined the Westview Dance Club. She enjoyed her travel time to Hawaii, but most of all she enjoyed her family time. Mom loved to play the piano. She never took a lesson, just played only by ear. In keeping with Mom's wishes, there will be no formal service. We would like to thank Palliative Home Care and the medical staff of St. Boniface Palliative Care, for their caring and compassion towards our mom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Expressions of sympathy may be made at Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

  • My deepest sympathy goes out to Cathy, Ron and family and Debbie, Bob and family on the loss of your mom, grandmother and great grandmother and also to Ev and John on the loss of your sister. Dorothy and I go back 47 years where we met at bowling and I was on Dorothy and Ernie's team. It wasn't long after that I found out that both Dorothy and Ernie worked at Moore Business forms where my mom once worked. What a small world! After Ernie passed away, Dorothy and I went out for supper many times and I when she needed me to do errands, I was always there for her as she did not drive. We always kept up on the latest news and we would phone one another to say did you hear this or that or wasn't that terrible what happened! I am going to miss all those moments. Rest in peace Dorothy and at lest you didn't suffer for very long. - Posted by: Joan Porteous (Friend) on: Oct 21, 2017
