DUANE CHEMERIKA It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Duane Chemerika, age 48, on Friday evening, October 13, 2017 at the Health Sciences Centre. Duane is predeceased by his father Lawrence. Survived by his mother Lorraine, brothers Mark and Allan (Cheryle-Ann), nephew Dustin (Natalie), niece Marie, and nephews Kory and Lincoln. Duane will be lovingly missed by his family, his many friends, hockey buddies and co-workers at Costco St. James. A special thank you to all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital and the I.H. Asper Institute for their excellent care of Duane. Service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or Diabetes Canada, 401-1 Wesley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.
