Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BEVEN BELL (JACK) May 21, 1940 - October 29, 2017 Unexpectedly, but on his own terms, Dad passed away on Sunday, October 29, with his loving wife, Shirley by his side. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley; children, Cathy (Albano), Allan (Donna), Ron (Jen), Brenda (Paul), Garry and Jacqui; and grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven, Wendy, Mathew, Sean, Jesse, Devin and Abigail. He also leaves behind his sister Elaine (Bill) Schettler, brother-in-law Walt Moscrip, nieces and nephews, as well as cousins, friends and neighbours. Dad is predeceased by his parents, Cam and Mary Bell; sister Jean Moscrip; nephews, Craig and Beven Moscrip; and in-laws, Roy and Marjorie Gates. A celebration of Dad's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, CancerCare Manitoba or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. In honour of our Dad's love of the Toronto Maple Leafs, the family encourages a "Sea of Blue" - wear your Leafs apparel or anything blue. And as Dad would say..."leave your ties at home". Worked with Jack for three years at 4 (F) Wing and he was a good friend who always had a smile. Was always nice to greet him and Shirley at the reunions. God Bless. - Posted by: Garnet McKeen (coworker, friend,) on: Nov 21, 2017

We send our sincere sympathy and deepest condolences to Shirley and all the family at this difficult time. Only regret that Jack was a Toronto Maple Leaf fan, could never convince him to switch to the Montreal Canadians. Thinking of you, be strong. We are very sad to hear Jack has passed on. He was energetic, jolly, and always ready to "pitch in" and help his neighbours. Jack was a great guy and the best neighbour anyone could ever wish for!! - Posted by: Teresa and Neil (Good friends [former neighbours]) on: Nov 04, 2017
