(nee TWEDDELL) 1918-2017 Peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, Alice Cheatley (Dr. Alice as she was affectionately known) passed away at Pembina Place Personal Care Home, at the age of 99 years on November 20, 2017. She was predeceased by her dear husband Bruce, who died in 1989. In compliance with Alice's wishes, cremation has taken place. An internment and a Memorial service, to celebrate Alice's life will be held this coming summer, at a date and location to be determined. Longer obituary to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the charity of your choice.

Dr Alice was my excellent English/Literature teacher in grade 9, at Aberdeen Jr High. She was dedicated to helping us in many ways, not just academically. I was given excellent advice when in the student gov't that year. Many years later, it was always a pleasure to run into her with her jovial Bruce, who always enjoyed meeting another Bruce. - Posted by: Rev Bruce I.
