ALLAN RENOLDS 1932 - 2017 Peacefully, on November 27, 2017, Allan passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 85. Allan was predeceased by his parents, Steven and Anna Eremco, sister Connie, brother Larry and sister Gerry. He was also predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Laura Renolds (nee Klump). He is survived by his son Shane (Shannon), nephew Grant Mitchell (Christine), nephew Michael Mitchell (Marlene), niece Avery Stewart-Babenko (Wally), cousin Vickie Todd, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and their families. Dad was born in Winnipeg in 1932, where he lived most of his life. He held a wide variety of jobs, gaining a great deal of worldly knowledge and experience, ultimately retiring in 1996, from a position with Government Services for the Province of Manitoba. Allan loved to travel, and managed to see a great deal of Canada, much of the US, and several places in Europe. He also loved to socialize and tell jokes. Any excuse to meet up with friends and family was good enough. Even in his last days, he continued to display his sometimes-impish sense of humour. The family would like to thank the staff at both the Victoria Hospital and St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Allan's love of dogs, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. An informal gathering of friends and family will take place at Cresentwood Community Centre, 1170 Corydon Avenue on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book, please visit www.chapellawn.ca. We have many happy memories of Al and Laura and wish the very best for Shane and the family as they face the sad days ahead. Many happy memories of jokes shared as we chatted over the fence, Al tending his garden and Laura raking up every last leaf on the lawn. - Posted by: Tom and Nydia Peterson (Friends on Dorchester Avenue) on: Dec 02, 2017
