Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD OLIVER MANSKY September 28, 1932 - January 6, 2018 Peacefully on the morning of Saturday, January 6 our father passed away in his sleep. Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Ann, of 63 years. The family of Lloyd and Ann are: Brian Lloyd Mansky (Wendy, Graeme and Erik), Sheryl Baird (Kristen and Karlyn), Christopher Fredrick Mansky (Sonya, Ainzli) and Lorne Eliot Mansky (Doris, Sara). Lloyd was born in Reddit, Ontario and experienced his childhood in Elma, Manitoba before the family moved to Winnipeg. Lloyd's career path was primarily in the automotive trades through an apprenticeship program and several years employment in Chevrolet dealerships. His entrepreneurial spirit lead him to operating Munroe Husky in the 1960s, then our parents purchased Adams Motel in 1970 and later developed Crane Towing. After the sale of these businesses, Lloyd took a brief hiatus to build their dream home in Argyle and he then returned to the trades with Midwest Detroit Diesel till retirement. Lloyd enjoyed many pastimes mainly outdoors including; boating and fishing at Caddy Lake and the family cottage at Pointe du Bois, some hunting and snowmobiling, and gardening. Lloyd and Ann extensively travelled to Chicago to be with Sheryl and her family, they spent several winters in Lake Travis, Texas at another family vacation home and overseas to Portugal, Australia and several US destinations. The family wishes to thank the staff of Concordia Place for the exceptional care and compassion afforded to Lloyd during his residence there. A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at "Kin Centre", Rue 161 Grandin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2018. In lieu of flowers, we encourage attendees to bring a non perishable food item for donation to a local food bank.

With deepest sympathy to you and your families on the loss of your beloved Father. It seems there’s very little anyone can say or do to ease the loss of one who meant so very much to you. May the happiness you all shared be warmly remembered and may those memories help to ease the pain of your loss. - Posted by: Barbara Thiessen (Cousin) on: Jan 09, 2018
