Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCECILE BROWN (nee LEGAULT) 1924 - 2018 It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Cecile Brown on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Golden West Centennial Lodge, at the age of 93 years. Cecile was predeceased by her husband Clifford and her nine siblings, Albe, Elodie, Oscar, Emilien, Jeanne, Antonin, Marie, Joseph and Irene. Missing her dearly are her three children, Kirk (Kerry) Brown, Greg (Kim) Brown, Richard (Sandy) Brown; and her six grandchildren, Courtney, Sarah (Kevin), Davis (Tudie), Riley (Ashley), Nathan and Justin. Also mourning her loss are numerous nieces and nephews. Cecile was born in Elie, MB. Cecile was a devoted elementary school teacher, who started off in Churchill, MB where she met and married Clifford, a young dental officer on the Canadian Forces Base. After raising a family, Cecile returned to a teaching position with the St. James School Division. Later in her retirement she enjoyed time at her Cottage at Caddy Lake, travelling, cooking and spending time with her family. Mom was always a caring and loving person who had the biggest heart to encourage and support us and our children throughout our lives. Cecile will always be remembered for her deep faith and prayer life. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at the Golden West Centennial Lodge for all their compassion and care over the past years. We would also like to thank Brenda Reznik who spent quality time with mom, providing companionship, friendship and love. Mom..we will always remember your love for life and never forget that beautiful smile of yours. Keep smiling, you will forever be in our hearts! In keeping with Cecile's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for Cecile will take place at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on March 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
