ALAN KERR JOHNSTONE May 11, 1951 - September 14, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that we announce Alan Johnstone's passing at the age of 67, with his family by his side. Beautiful husband, wonderful father and precious grandpa, beloved brother, uncle and friend, Alan was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Velma of Neepawa, his sister-in-law Deanna Johnstone, his father-in-law Gilles Dorge and his nephew Luc Gosselin. He leaves to mourn his wife Lucille (née Dorge), children, Scott (Nathalie), Patrick (Peter) and Dominique (Jason), brother Jim, and his treasured grandchildren, Thomas, Annabelle, Sarah and Emilie. He also leaves behind a loving, extended family: his cousins, Tim and Marlene, their families, his mother-in-law Lilianne, many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Alan enjoyed a successful 38-year career with Pritchard Engineering (TPG), becoming a company partner and division manager. Business associates and colleagues became lifelong friends. Work endeavours provided lifelong memories. Alan cherished his friendships from early school years, throughout his working career and into retirement. Family and friends were always close to his heart. In retirement, Alan enjoyed travelling and spending time with his loved ones. He found great pride and excitement in partnering with friends to rebuild a dragster and race it as the EDJ Race Team. The family would like to thank all those who visited, called and showed their support. He will be dearly missed. A special thanks to all the nurses and doctors that cared for him. A private gathering is planned to celebrate Alan's life. Flowers gratefully declined. In lieu of flowers, please give generously to CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre (Palliative Care Unit 3E). • My condolences to the family of Alan. During my long tenure at Pritchard Machine I had the privilege to work in conjunction with Alan on various projects and jobs that came into the shop. Alan was knowledgeable, driven, with a very good intellect. He was a quiet person, fair, and showed compassion to other people. He had a gentle way about him and greeted you with a smile and hello. After he retired in December 2009 when he bumped into you at a store he would greet you with that same smile and hello. He was one of a kind and he will be sadly missed by all the people he met and worked with during his journey of life. - Posted by: D’arcy Smela (Friend, previous employee) on: Oct 04, 2018

- Posted by: Victor & Therese Dumesnil (cousins) on: Sep 21, 2018
