Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND LEITH BROWN 1930 - 2018 On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, Dad quietly passed away. He was predeceased by the love of his life Audrey; as well as his parents, Bruce ("B.A.") and Pearl; brother Bill and many close family members and friends. Left to mourn his loss and cherish many special memories are his children, Dayna (Leonard), Lyle (Suzanne), Donald (Melody), and Bruce; grandchildren, Tannis (Chris), Leith (Danielle), Vern, Matthew, Alana, Kyra, Audrey (Chris), Brianna, Raymond and Chloe; great-grandchildren, Ella, Damon and Willa; sisters, Peggy Reid and Penny (Jim) Caza, as well as many nieces nephews and cousins. Dad grew up in the St. Charles area of Winnipeg. He was a quiet, loving man with a big heart. He was a man of few words but a quick wit that would always bring smiles and laughter. He loved nature and going for quiet walks along Sturgeon Creek, golfing and reading. Dad was very well read on many subjects, especially world history, military history, politics, geography and nature. Dad served in the army with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry and during this time he saw some of Europe. He was proud of his Scottish ancestry (Clan Lamont) and was quite knowledgeable about Scottish history. He loved the bagpipes. Pipe music was a common thing in our house when growing up, and we all loved going to the Highland Gathering. Healthy, strong and independent right to the end, Dad had a good life. At Dad's request, there will be no formal service and a private family interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. There will always be a hole in our hearts Dad.
