ANNETTE BEAUDRY (née GERVAIS) July 24, 1927 - September 22, 2018 Our beautiful mother and grandmother is now at rest. She has joined her beloved late husband, Marcel Beaudry. Annette was predeceased by her great-grandson, Marek Beaudry; by her very special niece, Louise Beaudry; by three dear sisters: Bernadette Beaudry, Lucille McCarthy and Yvonne Gervais, as well as by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Diane Gousseau, and her siblings: Pauline Legault (Cyril), Eva Gervais, Cyril Gervais (Lucienne), Adelard Gervais, Paul Gervais (Carol) and Maurice Gervais (Emily). Also left to mourn her passing are her children: Yvette Beaudry (Dan Rooney), Denis Beaudry (Lorraine), Normand Beaudry (Josée Larouche), René Beaudry (Elizabeth Drew) and Claude Beaudry (Pat). Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss her very much. The second child of Arthur and Aurore Gervais, Annette grew up on a farm in the parish of St. Eustache, Manitoba. Later, she and Marcel raised their own family in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes before moving to St. Boniface. Throughout her life, Annette liked to sing as she tended to her children and to her housework. Her songs are a treasured memory. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Paroisse du Précieux-Sang, 200 Kenny Street, Winnipeg. MB. On t'aime beaucoup, Grand-mère Annette. LECLAIRE BROTHERS 475 Provencher Blvd., in care of arrangements, 204-775-2220

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I will miss my dear cousin Annette. Over the years, though many miles apart, we kept in touch. I will miss our lengthy phone conversations when we talked of old times and the recent events of our lives. I will miss the comfort of knowing you were just a phone call away. R.I.P dear friend. - Posted by: Majella (Gervais) Dowhaniuk (Cousin) on: Oct 03, 2018

  • Annette was an amazing woman. She started as a nanny and became a friend of the family. She was an absolutely reliable source of care, support, and fun. She taught me so much about children. For many years we stayed in contact and shared news about both families. My sincere condolences to the entire family who have lost someone so special. One special memory I have is coming to her home and finding my toddler daughter in a playpen with her toddler granddaughters having a great time, chattering away even though neither understood the other’s language. • It's with such sadness that I write about the passing of Annette Beaudry. Years ago, when I arrived in Winnipeg to do research for my play, The Thirteenth One, Annette invited me to stay with her. I had added a fictional, comical character to my play but had not, as yet, found a name for that character. We giggled and laughed the whole time and so Annette, Mom's funny friendly neighbour, in the play, was born. Denyse Gervais Regan - Posted by: Denyse Gervais Regan (cousin) on: Oct 01, 2018

  • I send my deepest sympathy to your family. I'm hoping that the memory of her happy spirit and the sound of her voice singing your favorite song will bring you comfort in the days ahead. You are all in my prayers. Love Celine - Posted by: Celine (Gervais ) Howard (Cousin) on: Sep 30, 2018
