MARCEL JOSEPH CLAUDE BRUNETTE January 12, 1931 - October 7, 2018 After a life rich in family, Marcel died surrounded by love. His most treasured accomplishment in life was his family of which he was so very proud. He will continue to be loved by Mary, his wife of 63 years; his children, Tony (Lisa), Jacquie (Steve), Denise (Jeff), Chris (Sheilina) and Colline (Matt); his 12 grandchildren and their partners; and his 18 great-grandchildren. Marcel was also loved and respected by both his and Mary's siblings and their families. Marcel grew up in St. Joseph, Manitoba, and then worked with the Oblate Fathers in Berens River. He then moved to Winnipeg and joined the RCAF. He married Mary, and their first station was in France where they began their family. After his retirement he filled his life with interesting projects: his massive gardens, bee keeping, stamp collecting, wood working and a multitude of other hobbies. Many people will remember and appreciate his generosity with his honey, vegetables and preserves. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald Street, Winnipeg, MB. Dad's strong character and big personality touched many lives. Rather than sending flowers, you can help us remember Marcel by planting zinnias, daisies or your own favourite flower.
