EDITH MARIE SANDERSON (nee GILLIES) May 27, 1929 - February 24, 2019 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Edith Marie Sanderson. She leaves to mourn, John (Bonnie), Beverley, Donald (Norma), Richard (Isabel), Marilyn, David (Cynthia), Reginald (Kelly) and Robert (Linda). She was predeceased by her husband Edwin Sanderson, daughter Nancy Sanderson, mother Edith, father Angus, son-in-law Robert Mickenack, grandson JJ Desjarlais, and grandson Jordan Moar. Wake service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019, 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., at Wide World of Faith Church, 465 Alexander Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Funeral service Wednesday, February 27, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at Wide World of Faith Church, 465 Alexander Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, reception to follow. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery following reception. Pallbearers; Keith Desjarlais, Danny Sanderson, Tylor Sanderson, Terrence Sanderson, George Elsley and Christopher Sainnawap. A big thank you to the management and staff at Southeast Personal Care Home. Flowers can be sent to the Sanderson Funeral Home. Donations can be made in Edith Marie Sanderson's name to CancerCare Manitoba.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Unfortunately we only found out after the memorial as we definitely wanted to pay our respects. We first met her when she came to Lettelier. She had such an infectious laugh and deeply loved the Lord; we enjoyed being with her. After she moved to South East, Esther would often drop in for a quick chat. Also condolences to Jennifer on the passing of grandma. My thoughts and prayers are sent to all the family who lost an amazing mother grandmother and friend. Her stories and her laugh and most of all our wonderful phone calls.
