EILEEN ROSE MARIE FRASER
October 18, 1937 April 1, 2019
Eileen will be dearly missed by her husband of 58 years, Doug; daughter Wendy (Darryl); son Barrie (Cheryl); grandchildren, Nicole (Darren), Maddison (Brent), Alex; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Eileen took her high-school education in Bowesman and Birch River, MB. She then went on to Normal School in Winnipeg, graduating in 1956. She loved her independence living in a teacherage during her first rural school near Alonsa, MB. Eileen then taught for three years at Columbine where she met and married Doug a local farmer, in August 1960.
Eileen loved spending time with her three grandchildren. They flew kites on windy days, slept outside in tents, baked cookies and pies together, built ice rinks to skate on, completed sewing projects and played many card games. They loved spending time with animals which included kittens, puppies, chickens, ducks, rabbits and goats. They also took trips and shared many other fun events. Recently, Alex and Grandma shared an interest in classic car shows. At least Grandma did!
Should friends so desire, donations may be made to: Boyne Lodge Capital Fund, P.O. Box 1644, Carman, MB R0G 0J0 or to a charity of their choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 2:00 p.m., at the Active Living Centre, in Carman, MB.
