FRANCES (FRAN) ELIZABETH WILLITS

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frances Elizabeth Willits on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Fran died peacefully, at home, surrounded by her family.
She will be missed desperately by Larry, her devoted husband of 63 years. He truly dedicated the last two years caring for Fran as her health deteriorated. She leaves behind six children, two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many more family members.
Fran was born on January 1, 1934 in Vernon Bridge, PEI. Her family moved to Dartmouth, NS when she was 10. She met the love of her life in 1953. They married and remained living there till Larry was posted to Winnipeg in 1976. Even though Fran missed her parents and siblings, she made every effort to make our new home in Winnipeg the very best for all of us.
Fran had an immense love of family, showed kindness to all, lived her faith, made every person she met feel incredibly special and left a legacy of love. She had a gift. She spent her life putting everyone else's needs before her own. Our angel has found peace.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Ave., with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant presiding. Reception to follow.
