WANDA DUCHARME
December 26, 1957 - June 14, 2019
She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Rita as well as her sister Sharon.
Wanda leaves to mourn her loving husband Hank, her stepchildren: Raymond, Monique (Gilbert), Kim (Vince), Sheri-Lynn (Bruno), Nadine (Rob) and Odin (Rea). She also leaves to mourn her siblings: Rocky, Connie, Jeff, Vickie (Tom), and sisters and brothers-in-law: Chris, Gisèle, Adèle (Allen) and Alphonse (Tracey) as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Wanda had a great sense of design and enjoyed spending time creating a warm and inviting home where she hosted many family celebrations. She would cook up a storm and prepare every dish with care and love. Wanda also loved going to bingo and garage sales with her mom. She truly cherished family and friends and will sadly be missed by all.
Wanda began working in Admitting at the St. Boniface Hospital when she was only 17. She was a dedicated employee and worked there for 32 years. She made many lasting friendships before retiring and beginning a new career at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.
We miss her smile, her laughter and everything that made her so very special and beautiful.
In keeping with Wanda's wishes, cremation will take place and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AG 6West of St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

To Hank and all your family and friends, Wanda's a very special woman with her steady and gentle, smiling soul and I send my greatest sympathy to you for your loss. I hoped and thought with you that she'd wouldn't be gone so soon. I worked with Wanda in admitting in St. B. First impressed with the professionalism and poise she always had in her job, then getting to know her gentle, smiling soul. I missed her very much when she left to work at health. Always smiling and her way of telling a story, especially adding an extra s to the end of some words. I will remember and miss her always. We are so sorry for Wanda's passing, though we didn't see much of each other after we all left home, there are a lot of memories of the fun times when we were kids. Wanda was shy when strangers were around but sure let her hair hang down with family and friends. RIP Wanda everyone will be missing your smiles and laughter. -Posted by Christine Moore (Teeny Emery) - Posted by: Teeny, Emily, Rita (Emery) (Cousins) on: Jun 19, 2019

To Hank and family, please accept my sincere condolences. To my beautiful friend who is gone too soon, I will miss you. I will miss our daily car rides that became more than a way of getting to and from work, and more about sharing laughs and gossip about the previous nights tv shows. I’m sure we had a laugh for every km we drove. I will miss our lunches, sitting in the sun, talking about “tricks and tips” for your iPhone, or what each of us was making for dinner that night. Most of all I will just miss YOU. May your bingo card always be the bonanza winner. May your garage sales treasures always be plentiful. May you be at peace. Until we meet again ~ Love Jess - Posted by: Jessica Bennett (Barr) (Friend) on: Jun 18, 2019
