Alice Cochrane of Calgary passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the age of 89 years.
Alice Christine Cochrane was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She received her education in Winnipeg, beginning her career with Imperial Oil Limited. Alice moved to Edmonton and later to Calgary retiring from Imperial Oil Limited following over 30 years of service.
Alice enjoyed her brothers, sisters-in-law, sisters, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her family, Alice also enjoyed travelling, skiing, hiking, swimming, walking and her many friends.
Alice is survived by her brothers, Bob (Marg) and Jim; and sister-in-law Anne. Alice was predeceased by her mom and dad, Ruby and Stewart Cochrane; her brothers, Doug (Mildred) and Jack; her sisters, Jean (Jim), Marlene (Darwin) and Liz (Bob); her niece Nancy, and nephews, Stewart and Robert.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made in Alice's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
A memorial service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (4000 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB) on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
