I’m so sorry to hear of uncle Milt’s passing. I have fond childhood memories of uncle Milt, uncle Barton and grandpa McLean. Uncle milt always made me feel like I was a part of the McLean family. - Posted by: Ken McLean (Bephew) on: Oct 06, 2025

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Milt. I have very fond memories of the McLean family on Oak St. As kids we probably should have funded a new garage door from all the frozen orange hockey balls leaving dents in it! Take care McLean family. - Posted by: Charles Daniels (Friend of Craig McLean) on: Jul 11, 2019

My memory of my great friend Milt takes me back to the River Heights Community Club in the early '70s when the club was having financial difficulties supporting all its programs - particularly hockey. As hockey chairman I was opposed to turning this gem of a facility over to the City when a substantial increase in the fee for hockey would solve the problem. I was very delighted to have Milt's support in this controversial recommendation. Meanwhile Scooter and my wife Diane had become good friends through our children. Thus a lifelong bond was formed which led to many family activities including water sports at Lake of the Woods and ski trips. Milt was very intelligent and had a brilliant sense of humour and the uncanny ability to cut through the fog and cause people to focus on the essential issues affecting their lives. One time in Florida Milt and I went out and stopped for lunch at the local Steak & Shake. When we got back Scoot, who always monitored Milt's food choices asked "Where did you eat?" Without hesitation Milt answered " Salads R Us"! Our friend Mil McLean will forever be missed. Scooter, I was so very sorry to hear of Milt's passing. EV Turnbull let me know and as I told her it brings back so many great memories. His old Ford that we ran around in at the lake, his parents that I adored, their cottage at Ponemah, your little red-headed daughter in the Raggedy Ann dress and so many more. I am holding you in my heart. Heather - Posted by: Heather McPherson McFarland (Very old friend) on: Jun 30, 2019
