MARLENE ELEANOR DOERKSEN
(nee FAUX)
January 20, 1946 - October 7, 2019

With family by her side, Marlene Doerksen passed away in the early hours of October 7, 2019 at Boundary Trails Health Centre.
Marlene is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dennis; son Jeff (Linda) and son Chris (Treena); grandchildren, Katherine, Hannah, Olivia and Noah; sister Elaine Gillingham; mother-in-law Muriel Doerksen; sister-in-law Dianne Duncan (Ron), sister-in-law Joanne Gunn (Darren) and sister-in-law Norma Doerksen, and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her mother and father Kip and Laura Faux; brother-in-law Barry Gillingham; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Beth Faux; sister and brother-in-law Yvonne and Vic Neumann; father-in-law Abe Doerksen; brothers-in-law, Garth Doerksen and Blake Doerksen
Marlene was born to Clifford and Laura Faux and grew up in the Roseisle area. She married Dennis Doerksen of Stephenfield on September 18, 1964 and they lived in Winnipeg and Burnaby, BC before settling back at the family farm in 1973. They enjoyed farm life for many years.
Marlene suffered a stroke in 2010 and they moved to Carman shortly after.
Marlene was a kind and caring person and cherished her family and was delighted with the arrival of four grandchildren. Marlene battled illness for many years and proved to be a tough lady who would fight through all the rough spots life threw at her. She will be missed greatly and never forgotten.
Our deepest thanks and gratitude to the team at the Boundary Trails Health Centre for the care Marlene received over the last few weeks.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Carman United Church. Family interment will be held in the Riverside Cemetery, Graysville.
