JAMES (JIM) WILLIAM MCLACHLAN
April 8, 1940 - December 13, 2019
He leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Ursula; daughter Gina, son Douglas and daughter-in-law Christine of Vancouver; and grandchildren, Lucy, Chloe, Caitlin, Brittany and Danielle. He also leaves his sister Pat and brother-in-law Jacques of Ottawa; and many loving nieces and nephews, Tracy, Sherri, Claire and Patrick, and great-nephew Otto. Jim was predeceased by his parents, William and Carmela (Nellie) McLachlan and sister Nancy.
Jim was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was a star athlete at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate and worked with Great West Life before moving his young family to Edmonton in 1971. He had a long and successful career as a Regional Manager with Standard Chemical. Jim and Ursula retired to beautiful Kelowna and just recently moved back to Alberta.
As Jim wished, cremation has taken place. A private memorial celebrating Jim's life will be held in the Spring, 2020.
