KEN STEIN

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Ken Stein at St. Boniface Hospital on December 29, 2019, at the age of 93, with his devoted family by his side.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Doris, children, Bev (Rob) and Mona (Charlie), grandchildren, Amy (Jay, Jadyn, Tyler), Brent (Loriana), Neil (Erica), Shane (Christina), Meaghan (Shane), and by his great-grandchildren, Arlo and Willa.
He was predeceased by his father Adolph Stein, mother Wanda Stein, and his siblings, Alfred, Edward, Lillian and Evelyn.
Ken's life was a story of loyalty and dedication to his family and his 44 year career with Canadian Pacific Railway as a Machinist. Retirement brought Ken the joy and freedom to pursue his love of golf, fishing and woodworking. He was an avid sports fan and proudly followed the local teams. Ken will be greatly missed and family dinners will never be the same.
A family celebration of Ken's life has been held at EJ Coutu & Co. Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Ken can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
The family expresses appreciation to the team at St. Boniface Hospital who provided care and comfort to Ken in his final days.

"Life is like an old time rail journey... delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed.
The trick is to thank the Lord for letting
you have the ride."
