ANN (LOIS) PETERSON
June 16, 1956 - January 17, 2020
Ann was born in Prestatyn, Wales, and moved to Canada in 1966 and lived in rural Manitoba before settling in Winnipeg in 1973 where she has lived ever since.
Ann is remembered by her husband of 36 years, Vic; along with her two sons, Michael (Rachel) and Brett (Kim); and her mother Lois. Ann is also remembered by her siblings, Helen, Janet (Dave), Rob (Anne-Louise) and Rachel; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry (Ann), Joanne (Lloyd) and Shara, as well as her many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her father Ted; father-in-law Victor; and brother-in-law Ron.
Ann devoted her life to her family and was a proud and fierce protector of her two boys. She was thrilled to recently become a grandmother to Caiden, Emry, Mason, Adrianna, Elena and Roman. Vic was her best friend and they shared a long and happy life together and built a welcoming family home for their sons, their partners and now their grandchildren. All who walked through Ann's front door would be welcomed with lots of food, drink and laughter. There were always special treats for the kids.
Ann was a dedicated educational assistant at Margaret Park School where she worked for over 20 years. She touched the lives of so many students in and outside of the classroom who fondly remember 'Mrs. Peterson'. Most recently, she championed the lunch and breakfast program because she wanted to make sure kids had enough to eat for school.
Cremation has taken place, and a service remembering Ann will be at Glen Eden Funeral Home at 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

I was so very sorry to read about Ann passing away. I worked with her at Great West Life a long time ago. I actually met my husband at one of her epic parties when she lived in a small house off Osborne Street back in the seventies. Always had so much fun with her. My sincere condolences! - Posted by: Cathy Dunsford (Former co-worker) on: Jan 27, 2020

Ann was an amazing person and I will miss her terribly at Margaret Park. Her compassion for kids was infectious to all around her. She had such a huge heart and shared it with all of us. She also was able bring so much joy and laughter everyday right up to her last day. For the family I will pray for the peace that passes all understanding as you say good bye to her. She will not be forgotten. - Posted by: Leanne Ulrich (Coworker) on: Jan 25, 2020
