HELEN PATRICIA STARR
(MCHARDY)
Lovingly remembered by her two children: son Glenn and daughter Cathy, granddaughters, Whitney and Andrea of British Columbia, brother Jim (Rosalie) of British Columbia, many nieces, nephews, friends and countless others that affectionately called her "Aunty Helen".
Predeceased by her twin sister Willa (Morrie), as well as her sister Shirley (Randy).
Born in 1928 to parents, James and Martha, Helen lived all 91 years of her life in Winnipeg and it was a life well lived!
Over the years, she enjoyed travelling to California, Georgia and British Columbia to visit family members. Helen was a people person and made a difference in the lives of many during her several years volunteering at Deer Lodge Hospital.
She never missed a family get-together, family celebration or the opportunity to dance. Let us not forget the other two loves of her life - the Jets who gave her hours of thrills and excitement, and of course the Blue and Gold. Her love for the Bombers started back in the 1940s when she went to the games at the Osborne Street stadium with her dad and she was elated when they won the Cup this past year!
For the past 17 years Helen resided at the Delta Manor where she made numerous special friendships.
A big thanks to Margie, Randy, "the boys" and Sierra for all the uplifting hospital visits.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Helen's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
