December 21, 1959 - February 16, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Paul will forever be missed by the love of his life Rita, his children, that he was so proud of, Laurent (Tarryn), Chantal, Gaetan (Chelsea), and his grandson Harlan, as well as many extended family members. He was predeceased by his daughter Marielle, his parents, Clement and Henriette, and his father-in-law Gerald.
Paul was a hard worker and made many friends doing the job he loved. The most important thing to our gentle giant was spending time with his family and friends. He cherished time at the family cabin, as well as in Palm Springs.
Our sincere thanks to the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for the amazing care he received, especially Joanne and Judy.
Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the Caisse Community Centre, La Salle, MB.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society can be made.

Doyle's Funeral Home, Carman

  • Dear Rita I am so deeply saddened by Paul's sudden death. Paul was like a big brother to me. At school he teased me relentlessly but watch out if any of the other kids gave me a hard time. He would make it very clear that it was in their best interest to stop their behaviour immediately . He was tough on the outside but was actually one of the kindest people I knew. I will miss him so much. Please accept my sincerest condolences to you, your children, Arthur, Raymond, and Alice and to all their families. - Posted by: Gisele Bernier (Cousin) on: Feb 20, 2020

  • Dear Rita, Laurent, Chantal and Gaetan - I am so very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. He was a great guy, a gentle giant with a big heart. There were many times that Brett wouldn't have made it to hockey but Paul picked him up and got him there! My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I'm sorry that I won't be there on Friday, but please know I'm thinking of you all. - Posted by: Paula Dorsey (Friend) on: Feb 20, 2020

  • Paul was a terrific friend and resource. he was always available to help especially when it came to over dimensional or very large moves. I will really miss his great sense of humor and the way he made you laugh even when things were not going great. Paul was definitely a very special and interesting guy and will be missed. R.I.P.
