MARY ANNE PINDER
(nee GRANT)

It is with deep sadness, that we announce the passing of our mother Anne on Thursday April 2, 2020, at West Park Manor Personal Care Home, at the age of 96.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Harold (2007); daughter Debbie (2011) and sister Sadie (2011).
She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her daughter Janice (Stu) of Oakville, Ontario; son Allan (Patty); grandchildren, Shauna (Ryan) and Scott (Krystle) and four great-grandchildren.
Mum was born on May 29, 1923 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland and moved to Winnipeg, Canada with her parents, John and Margaret Grant and sister Sadie in 1928, settling in the Weston area of Winnipeg. She stayed at home and looked after the family during the early years and eventually worked at Eaton's part-time for 25 years in the paint department. Mum was a great cook, known for her outstanding Yorkshire pudding and her generous distribution of shortbread at Christmas. Mum and Dad enjoyed travelling and frequently visited England and Northern Ireland. They enjoyed their summers playing golf with family at their trailer in Gimli.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at West Park Manor for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mum's name may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
