• My deepest condolences to Hester and family on the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. Guy will be ever remembered for his commitment and dedication to justice, equality and support for his community of Winnipeg and beyond. Although I did not know Guy personally, I have fond memories of my many conversations with Hester at The Simkin Center during my own journey there. • Guy was one of most decent, honourable, sweetest man I have ever met in my life. My remembrances of Guy will be not because of his career achievements, which were significant, but mainly if not overwhelmingly because for the content of his character. He will reside in my memory in a place of honour. He was shaped by his parents and was fully completed by Esther. • I was Guy’s secretary for a few years before his elevation to the bench. I remember him fondly and his encouragement to go further with my legal training. He subscribed to a team approach, way back then. Years later our paths crossed again in the Court of Appeal. My sincere condolences to his family.
