My deepest condolences to Hester and family on the passing of your husband, father and grandfather. Guy will be ever remembered for his commitment and dedication to justice, equality and support for his community of Winnipeg and beyond. Although I did not know Guy personally, I have fond memories of my many conversations with Hester at The Simkin Center during my own journey there. She was with Guy every day and talked about him with such love, I felt I knew him through her. Carol Reznik - Posted by: Carol Reznik (Acquaintance ) on: May 02, 2020

Our sincerest condolences to Hester and family. Guy Kroft (Mr. Kroft) was a person I was always impressed with as a teenager. His friendliness and sense of humor has stuck with me to this day. I always enjoyed his visits when he was out at Falcon Lake. - Posted by: Wayne and Jo-Anne Zimmerman, Sidney BC (friend) on: Apr 19, 2020

Dear Hester and family, We are so sorry to hear of Guy's passing. Our memories are so sweet of our Kalef cousins gathering together to reacquaint and enjoy each other's company. Guy always had a big smile on his face and a big hug waiting for us. We had memorable times together. Too bad time marches on and we get older and unable to gather anymore. We send our love to you, the family and the next generation. You have much to be proud of in your memories of your dear husband, father and grandfather. We will call sometime next week. Guy was one of most decent, honourable, sweetest man I have ever met in my life. My remembrances of Guy will be not because of his career achievements, which were significant, but mainly if not overwhelmingly because for the content of his character. He will reside in my memory in a place of honour. He was shaped by his parents and was fully completed by Esther. If you want to know how life should be led, simply stand in his shadow. - Posted by: Joel Slater (Friend) on: Apr 17, 2020

I was Guy’s secretary for a few years before his elevation to the bench. I remember him fondly and his encouragement to go further with my legal training. He subscribed to a team approach, way back then. Years later our paths crossed again in the Court of Appeal. My sincere condolences to his family. He will be missed. - Posted by: Rowena Fishet (Former secretary in 1970s ) on: Apr 17, 2020
