GRACE NAZAR
(nee HUFF)

After a 15 month battle with pancreatic cancer, Grace passed away on April 15, 2020, at home surrounded by her husband Eric and two sons, Jim and Mark. In 2002 her health was damaged by the auto immune disease Rheumatoid Arthritis. She fought both diseases with great determination. She tried to survive the devastation, the trauma, and the treatment of cancer.

The following was written by Grace:

I am survived by the love of my life my husband Eric of almost 52 years; and my two sons, Jim (Nanette) and Mark (Cynthia); my five grandchildren, my pride and joy, my munchkins, my rewards, Katherine, Zachary, Nicholas, Sophia and Danica; and my brother Ed; and predeceased by my parents, Reinhold and Ida Huff (Gluck); and two sisters, Geraldine and Lorraine.
Memorial donations may be made to Pancreatic CancerCare Foundation, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.

  • Grace is in some of my favorite memories. Know that the mark she left is a great one, and because of this she'll never really be gone. I will think about the times we shared in her beautiful garden where her green thumb will always be, by chance seeing you and Eric in Victoria after disembarking from the cruise ship that Jim was captain of, and my most favorite memory is the day you came over after having lunch with the girls wearing a a white gown and your mothers pearls, looking like an angel and glowing like one too. You will always be somebody that makes everybody feel like a somebody. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Paula Bowkett (Neighbour) on: Apr 21, 2020

  • I met Grace I think in 2011 through a book club group I was invited to the previous year. When she joined our group my first impression was of a beautiful and elegant woman. It was not long after I got to know her that I realized what a caring and kind friend she was. I will miss her and feel blessed to have known her.
