ANNEMARIE HIRSCH
1939 - 2020
Annemarie is survived by her two children and their families that she cherished; son Harry (Ramona) Hirsch, Jonathon and Julianne, daughter Caroline (Ward) Elder, Eric (Caleigh), precious great-grandson Jackson, and Jessica (Tamairik) Tyrell.
She was predeceased by her husband John Hirsch in 2003. Since being widowed, Annemarie bravely travelled to her winter home in Mazatlan, and enjoyed making new friends. In Mexico she joyfully tended to neighbourhood parks and loved her Bougainvillea tree in her backyard.
In Winnipeg she lovingly tended vegetables, berries, grape vines, heirloom tomatoes and a variety of flowers. Annemarie's garden was sacred to her and reflected God's amazing work.
Mom was happiest when family and friends gathered at her table laughing and enjoying each other's company. We enjoyed parties, delicious gooseberry tortes and roaring laughter.
Annemarie was small in stature but incredibly energetic. She accomplished many feats with stubbornness and artistic flair. Annemarie loved fiercely, worked tirelessly, gave generously of her time and talents. She was so very grateful for the many years she had to enjoy her loved ones.
A memorial will take place in the future.
Flowers gratefully declined. In favour of donations to Sherwood Park Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.

Dear Harry, Ramona, Jonthan and Julia. We were saddened to hear of your mother and grandma's passing. We trust you are experiencing God's comfort and peace in these days. It is so hard, at this time, not being able to celebrate a life well lived. Our love to all of you. You have been in our prayers. Harry, Caroline, and families Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a passionate and determined person, a whirling dynamo of activity. I'm sure you take comfort in knowing she will be reunited with John, who will now have to put aside his heavenly tennis racquet and work with her on her list of tasks! She was devoted to him, and him to her, and I know how much you will miss her. - Posted by: Bob Caswill (Family Friend) on: Apr 19, 2020
