GARY LYN MILLENCHUK
September 18, 1953 - April 6, 2020
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Levinia Millenchuk, his sister Sandra, and brother Richard.
Gary was born in Brandon, his family eventually moving to Winnipeg where he spent the remainder of his childhood. Throughout those years, many cherished memories were made in Sandy Lake visiting with Baba Millenchuk and extended family; and at West Hawk Lake, where many happy moments were enjoyed by all at the family trailer.
Gary worked in the construction industry for many years, working in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia throughout his career. He spent the last 15 to 20 years working on the pipeline - a fact that he was extremely proud of.
Left to honour his memory are his daughters, Mandy van Leeuwen and Ava van Leeuwen, along with his granddaughters, Zoe, Mielah and Brynn. Gary will also be remembered by his sisters, Paulette Adams and Debra McMurray; his niece Malina, and nephews, Gregory and Tyler, as well as many other family members and friends.
Due to current restrictions on gatherings, there will be no memorial service at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gary's memory to the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre, PO Box 61084 Grant Park, Winnipeg, MB R3M 3X8, Phone (204) 487-1753, Email: info@bruceoakerecoverycentre.ca, or an organization of choice.

Gary, you and I were together for years, living with or apart, but still 'with'. I know that it has been SO hard knowing you weren't here. And, I had to write today, even though you know ALREADY, that one of our great friends has left this earth, that beautiful soul, Harry 'the Hook'. I am so glad you and Harry can yap together into eternity. I am so sad, but also SO DARN HAPPY. One of these days, I'll join you guys. Till then, leave some fun for me. I will always love you, Gary, and I will always love Harry, too. Peace on, bros. - Posted by: Marie Fontaine (friend) on: Apr 19, 2021

Dear Gary, we did not talk for a while, shame on both of us. I saw a picture with you and your grandchildren, you all look happy in that moment. I hope you had many of those before you left. You were my big brother and I loved you regardless. Say Hi to Mom, Dad, Sandra and Rick. - Posted by: Debra (sister) on: Apr 18, 2020
