My husband Kent and I met Darren, Cindy and his son Dustin early 90s through the Mopar Car Club. Many Fun years with Darren and Cindy actively managing our social committee poker runs. One year after his passing we are still saddened of his passing. I think of Cindy and family a lot. We became great friends and travelled with the Mopar Club lots. Darren was always personable, great sense of humour and helpful. We had many fun times, our last being at Smitty’s wings night watching the Jets play. Went to Cavalier, ND for a motorcycle rally. Very memorable weekend. My heart goes out to Cindy and family during this very difficult day. RIP Darren. - Posted by: Louise Mckean (Friend) on: Apr 17, 2021

Cindy and family, I'm so sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul. I met Darren one Sunday morning when he came to have breakfast with the boys at Kendel's. The laughs, stories, what concerts and music and lots of exchanges of bantering. I looked forward to what trouble would come through the doors. Darren would always make sure to ask you what you had been up to. Darren was the kindest gentle giant of a man. I will miss you my friend. The Kendel's group will miss you. I met Darren in 1997 when I started my employment with New Flyer. He was a valued employee and we shared many conversations and I enjoyed his very dry sense of humour. Sending my condolences out to Darren’s family. I was Darren’s boss at New Flyer and can say first hand Darren was one hell of welder. This is one man who took great pride in his work and was never done till he said it was done and would always stand by his workmanship. Darren had a lot of friends at Flyer and will be sorely missed by all. Take Care my friend and Rest In Peace...till we meet again. - Posted by: Mervin Richardson (Friend) on: Apr 25, 2020
