SYBIL JOYCE DICKSON
(nee LOWENBERGER)
October 17, 1928 - May 3, 2020

With great sadness, we are announcing the passing of Sybil Joyce Dickson, on May 3, 2020, at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, AB.
Sybil is survived by her son, Bruce; brother, Bob (Jo-Anne); nieces, Nancy (Randy) and family, Mandy (Chris) and family; and nephew, Doug (Toni).
Predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Staphana; husband, Bill; sister, Melva and Don; special aunt, Joyce Bell; and nephew, Greg.
Sybil was born in Winnipeg (St. Vital). Sybil was an avid reader of books and the local newspaper. Sybil loved to "discuss" the state of the nation, and would invite discussion from anyone brave enough to participate.
Sybil loved to sing, and spent many years taking part in various church choirs in Winnipeg, Dauphin, and Edmonton. Sybil's voice was at the level where she had participated in the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir.
Sybil had a strong faith throughout her life through many trials and health issues. Sybil always remained faithful to her church, even when her aging years prevented her from attending. Sybil had some wonderful friends who kept her in the loop. She also loved all her family, and always loved to keep up with what was going on in all our lives.
Sybil's son, Bruce, was such a godsend to his mom these last years because of his dedication and daily caring with love for his mom. Because of this, Sybil was able to stay in her home until she passed.
Sybil will also be missed by her friends at the Collingwood Presbyterian Church in Edmonton.
A memorial service will be held for Sybil at a later date.
