ELIZABETH HOLROYD
Betty was predeceased by her husband Terry, and leaves behind her four children, Kevan, Judy, Wendy and Trevor, along with five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Betty was born on October 14, 1925 in Glasgow, Scotland. She moved to Winnipeg in 1962 with Terry, Kevan and Judy. In Winnipeg, the family expanded with the addition of Wendy and Trevor. While Terry was employed at MTS, Betty continued her thankless job as mother and keeper of the home.
Betty resided in the North End enjoying the company of many life-long friends. She loved and doted on her family which continued to grow over the years. Mom loved her Winnipeg Jets, time spent travelling or at the cottage. She was Mom to many over the years and will be sorely missed by all. The void she leaves cannot be filled.
As per Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral will occur.
In lieu of flowers, should someone wish to honour Mom, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or charity of your choice.

I am very saddened to hear of "Auntie" Betty's passing. She was a gregarious lady with many Interesting stories to tell and I have fond memories of her and "Uncle" Terry going back for as long as I can remember. I have a few old photos of her and Terry taken in England and Scotland. Our deepest condolences to Judy, Kevan, Wendy, Trevor and all of the Holroyd family. - Posted by: Chris Tugwell (Cousin) on: Jul 25, 2020
