Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGARTH CLASSON
August 17, 1928 - June 7, 2020
It is with deep regret that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Garth is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Clare; his two daughters, Tara (Steve) and Margo (Clint); his three wonderful grandsons, Jack. Liam and Logan; as well as his very dear great-grandson, Bentley; all of whom he loved so very much.
The family wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Dr. David Breckman as well as to his assistant Nicole for their compassion and care over the years.
A special thank you to the Maples Care Home for the constant care Garth received. We are truly grateful.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to one of Garth's charities of choice: MS Society of Canada or the Sunshine Fund.
Garth was always happiest in his workshop and was always willing to lend a hand. Without a doubt his greatest joy was his family.
A celebration of Garth's life will be held at a later date.

Mrs Classon, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. You and Mr. Classon were always so kind to me as I was growing up on Vavasour Ave and it was so much fun to babysit your 2 lovely daughters Tara and Margo. Much love to you all 💜. Dear Clare, Tara, Margot and Families, We are so sorry to hear of Garth’s passing. We have many fun memories of times spent at Silver Heights United Church along with Fowl Suppers and Choir Dances. Garth, Bob and my Dad (Dick Murphy) were in charge of cooking the peas at the Fowl Supper and I think there were lots of shenanigans going on! I always remember Garth’s Birthday because it was the same date as our first Grandchild Mitchell. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
