GERALD (GERRY) BRUCE DYCK
Gerry is survived by his sister, Joyce (Wayne), his brother Ray (Teresa), and his much adored nephews, Trevor and Mason. Also surviving Gerry are many cousins, aunts and friends. He was predeceased by both parents, Jake and Evelyn.
Gerry worked at Winpak for the past few years and left behind many friends and co-workers.
We take immense pride in the fact that Gerry lived independently after his first surgery and managed very well on his own. If anyone would have been able to fight this disease and beat it, it would have been Gerry. He fought very hard and was stubborn, but in the end, the disease won. Despite this Gerry was happy and had a smile on his face and clever wit right until the very end.
We want to give thanks to all of his neighbours who always watched out for him and the staff at Charleswood Care Centre for the care Gerry received in the last five months there.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
Donations in Gerry's memory may be made to any No Kill Shelter for Cats, which Gerry adored.
Gerry, you will be always missed, go and enjoy all the recipes and cuisines you loved.
We love you.

He was like a brother who was always there when needed. It's been a huge loss to me especially when it comes to correcting me, yelling at me like an elder. Will miss him always - Posted by: Baljeet (Friend/neighbour) on: Jul 27, 2020
