ARLEEN MARY LYPCHUK
(nee MCISAAC)
November 15, 1938 - July 16, 2020
Arleen leaves behind her children, Kim (Mike), David, and Cheryl (Mike); her loving grandchildren, Samantha, Kelcie and Justin; her sisters, Sharon and Genevieve; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Wayne) and Darlene; brothers-in-law, Dennis and Donnie (Marlene); and, many nieces, nephews and friends. Arleen was predeceased by her husband Edward, her parents, Alphonse and Carmella, and her siblings, Connie, Raymond, Barbara and Gertrude.
Arleen was born and raised in New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. After high school, she joined the Royal Canadian Air Force where she met and married Ed. Arleen, spent her life devoted to her family and friends, always ensuring there was a pot of tea on the stove and sweets in the cupboard for anyone who wanted to stop by for a visit or to play a game of cards. Arleen, in her younger years, enjoyed playing baseball and curling. During her stay at St. Patrick's, she loved to get out for dinner, go shopping to the mall or hit the slots at the local race track.
The family would like to thank the Kilkenny Care Team at St. Patrick's Home of Ottawa for the care and kindness they provided to Mom. If so desired, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Patrick's Home of Ottawa Foundation or a charity of your choice.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Family and friends are invited to express condolences or memories at www.kellyfh.ca.
