Dear Chris: Though time and miles have distanced us, this very sad occasion gives us cause to reconnect. I was saddened to hear of Penny’s passing, and I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and her family. I hope and pray that, with time, the pain that comes with her absence will subside a little and you will, eventually, delight in memories of the good times you shared. Your story is a very special one! I remember the circumstances of your meeting, and the fact that her trepidation and excitement almost overwhelmed her! (It was a modern day fairy tale!) But she plucked up the courage, in spite of herself, because she saw in you her heart’s desire . . . someone who was kind, patient, . . . with spark!
