CAROL LYNNE BRUNEAU
(MCKEEN)
With heavy hearts, I announce the passing of Carol, September 16, 2020, at home in her sleep, with Brian by her side.
Carol was the middle child, born to Reg and Hilda McKeen on August 14, 1955 in Churchill, Manitoba.
Carol saw much of the world in her younger years, thanks to her dad, who was in the Army. Being very family oriented, always there for them, in good times, and not so good times. The McKeens settled in Charleswood where Carol joined Junior Achievement. Then at fifteen years of age, Carol met the love of her life and soul mate Brian. Very blessed to have spent fifty years together.
Predeceased by parents, Reg and Hilda McKeen and her very special "aunt Josie."
Carol is survived by husband Brian of Oakbank; sister Karen Ryan (Paul); brother Kenneth McKeen; nephew Kyle McKeen all of Calgary; in-laws, Rose and Emilien Bruneau, Fran and Gord Rudyk, Janice Leggett; nieces, Gae Rudyk and Suzann Rudyk-Munroe (Paul); nephew Christopher Leggett (Elaine); niece Caylene Leggett; great-nephews, Dakota Rudyk-Munroe, Rhylan Leggett and great-niece Brixlee Leggett.
Very special thanks to Rural Municipality of Springfield Home Care Services for their compassionate care of Carol.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory to CancerCare Manitoba most appreciated.
Private service was held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. "We'll Meet Again," "Don't Know Where," "Don't Know When." Love and Miss you Carol.

For uncle Brian, we are deeply saddened by the loss of your lifelong best friend, we are here for you always. To our auntie Carol, you will forever be missed, and will remain in our hearts always. I am grateful for so many wonderful memories of you, cutting up sponges to make hockey pucks for Dakota, wonderful dinners, hot tub parties, drinking wine, telling stories and laughing. You will be remembered always as “Auntie Carol broke a glass!!” Love you forever, Suzann, Paul, and Dakota - Posted by: Suzann (Niece ) on: Sep 26, 2020

So sorry to read this sad news. I worked with Carol back in late 80’s through to 1994 at Blackwoods Beverages now known as Pepsi Co. She was a great co-worker who went to become a great boss. We shared many social interests back in the day. Condolences to the family and to Brian. Xo - Posted by: Lisa MacIntyre (Friend) on: Sep 26, 2020
