MacBETH: Mary Elizabeth (Betty) MacBeth, January 20, 1924 – May 5, 2010. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Betty on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre. Betty will be missed by her only son, Jim (Pat), grandchildren Roberta and Patrick, sisters and brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephew and their families. She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Don MacBeth, parents Jacob and Elizabeth Haarsma, brothers Buck and Benny Haarsma and sister Margaret Leftrick. The family gives their heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Nursing staff at GD4 of the Health Sciences Centre; their caring treatment of Mom these last few months is greatly appreciated. We also want to thank the many Home Care workers that assisted Mom in her home these last few years. Again your assistance was greatly appreciated. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
