DESIATNYK: Mary Desiatnyk of Brandon passed away peacefully at the Babcock Nursing Home in Wardsville, ON, on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the age of 94 years. Mary leaves to mourn her passing daughters; Lil (Wayne) Kaplar and Rose Marie (Mark) Marino; granddaughter Shelley Kaplar (Dave Smith) and grandson Jeff Kaplar (Andrea Garcia) both of Austin, Texas and granddaughter Angela (Sean) Pardek and great granddaughter Taylynn. Prayers were held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. The Divine Liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 with Rev. Fr. Michael Tkachuk officiating and Stella Fedeniuk as Cantor. Interment followed at the Brandon Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be placed at www.brockiedonovan.com.
