EDWARDS: Harvey Russel Edwards. Harvey was born at home on the farm in Medora, MB on March 1st, 1921. He slipped away peacefully at Evergreen Place on April 4th, 2012. He attended school at Medora where he got his education. Harvey married Audrey McMall on October 10, 1939. Together they had five children Faye, Maureen, Laura, Jim, Barb. They farmed till they moved to Melita in 1958. Dad joined the Parks Branch at Lake Adam in 1966 hauling gravel and returned to Boissevain, MB on Jan. 15, 1987. Dad loved fishing, hunting, and curling. He caught a master angler on April 25, 1994. Having caught on hook and line a 60.96 cm (24 in.) Rainbow trout in Bower Lake. Jim Downey issued this Manitoba Master Angler Certificate. Dad also loved curling. He curled with Morley Edwards (skip), Howard Pool (third), Jim Edwards (second) and Dad was first or lead. Dad was predeceased by his parents Kestle and Mary Edwards, Frank (Joan) Edward, Ralph (Selma) Edwards and Ruth Edwards, his youngest daughter Faye Adams and youngest son Jim Edwards. He leaves to mourn his long time friend Verna Briggs, Maureen (Duane Williams), Lorna (Edward Spence), Barb (Vern Siemens) son-in-law Lee Adams and partner Val Wray. Dad has many grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A memorial service in Harveys memory will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Smith Funeral Home in Deloraine, MB at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Medora Cemetery, Medora, MB.
