LUCY: Darla G. Lucy (Edwards). It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Darla, loving mother, sweetheart, sister and aunt. Darla lost her valiant battle with cancer Sunday July 15. Darla was born March 14,1965 in Deloraine Manitoba to Frank and Joan Edwards and raised in Medora and Brandon Manitoba. She raised her family in the Carlyle Saskatchewan area. Darla will be lovingly remembered by her soul-mate Bill Treble of Crystal City, her sons Grant of Edmonton, and Matthew of Regina. Also left to cherish her memory is her sister Leigh Ann (Mark) Edmonton, brother Kerry (Tannis) Lethbridge and Grant and Matts father, Brad Lucy of Carlyle. Darla was an aunt to nieces Katrina, Jerilyn, Jenna, and Kendra, nephews, Tyler and Gerrit, great-nephews, Darien and Grayson and great-niece Daniella. Darla was predeceased by her twin brother Grant in 1976, her mother Joan in 2002, and her father Frank in 2006. Darla loved life and lived it to the fullest. Family was everything to her and she enjoyed special occasions and holidays. She adored animals and nature. She made and kept friends easily and that was a wonderful attribute she maintained all her life. Darla had a great sense of humor that stayed with her till the end. She enjoyed reading, camping, traveling, and gardening. In particular Darla loved flowers, swans, mourning doves, and butterflies and her little cat Sasha. Darla was a caring person who brightened the lives of many. She was a very special lady who will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. A memorial service to celebrate Darlas life will be held at Carlyle Memorial Hall on Saturday July 21st at 4:00 p.m. in Carlyle, SK. In lieu flowers, donations can be made to one of these three causes.
